CLL patients left in the dark: study maps treatment gaps after key drug fails

NCT ID NCT05621148

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 152 adults with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) whose cancer stopped responding to a class of drugs called BTK inhibitors (like ibrutinib) and, in some cases, also to venetoclax. The goal was to understand what treatments doctors used next and how well they worked, since there is no standard approach for these patients. The study did not test a new treatment but instead collected real-world data to highlight unmet medical needs.
