Summary

This study looked at two common antibiotics, ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin, to see which one better prevents bacterial infections in patients receiving a stem cell transplant. About 308 adults with blood cancers took part. The goal was to find out which drug leads to fewer bloodstream infections in the first 60 days after transplant.
