NCT ID NCT05964829
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a wearable device called the Cionic Neural Sleeve that uses mild electrical pulses to help leg muscles contract at the right time during walking. Fourteen people with multiple sclerosis will wear the sleeve for six weeks and also do a walking program. Researchers will measure changes in walking speed, perceived walking ability, disability, and daily activity levels.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Cionic Neural Sleeve (a wearable device that uses electrical stimulation to help leg muscles contract at the right time during walking)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this device could offer a non-drug way to improve walking and reduce falls for people with multiple sclerosis.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very small early study with only 14 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The device may be uncomfortable or not help all users.
