New drug combo cuts chemo nausea in half for gynecologic cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06007586

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether adding the drug aprepitant to standard anti-nausea medicine helps women with gynecologic cancers (like ovarian or cervical cancer) who are getting chemotherapy. 143 women took part. The goal was to see if the extra drug could better prevent nausea and vomiting after chemo. The results show that the three-drug combo works better than the standard two-drug approach.
