First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether community health workers in rural Guatemala, using a mobile health app and remote doctor support, can manage high blood pressure as effectively as a physician. About 460 adults with high blood pressure will be randomly assigned to either a community health worker or a doctor for their care. The main goal is to see if blood pressure control is similar between the two groups over 12-24 months.
