New study investigates stomach problems after colon cancer surgery

Summary

This study looks at why some people have ongoing loose stools after surgery for colon cancer. Researchers will use a new device to check for bile acid problems and bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine. The goal is to better understand these symptoms and how they affect quality of life. About 20 adults who had right-sided colon cancer surgery will take part.
