New injection could fix nutrient deficiency in intestinal failure patients

Summary
This study tests an injection of choline chloride in adolescents and adults with intestinal failure who rely on long-term intravenous nutrition. The goal is to see if the drug can safely raise choline levels and reduce liver injury. About 129 participants will receive either a low or high dose of the drug or a placebo, with an open-label extension for all.
