Spine adjustments vs. pain pills: new study tests a Drug-Free path

NCT ID NCT06160947

Summary

This is a small pilot study to see if it's possible to run a larger trial testing whether adding chiropractic care to standard medical treatment can help adults with long-term back pain use fewer opioid pain medications. The study will involve 24 adults from four Canadian community health centers who are currently prescribed opioids for their pain. Researchers will check if they can recruit people properly and collect data needed for a future, bigger study.
