Massive brain scan project aims to revolutionize disease detection

NCT ID NCT06643858

Summary

This study aims to create detailed reference charts of normal brain structure and function for the Chinese population by collecting brain scans from 10,000 healthy people and people with various brain conditions. Researchers will use these charts to help doctors make more accurate, individualized diagnoses for diseases like multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, and stroke. The goal is to provide a tool that compares a patient's brain scan to normal ranges for their age, potentially enabling earlier detection and better treatment planning.
