Summary
This study explores why some children with a genetic risk for obesity do not become obese. Researchers will track eating, activity, and sleep habits in 242 children ages 5-7, along with their mothers, to see which behaviors protect against weight gain. The goal is to find new ways to prevent childhood obesity, especially in minority families with limited resources.
