Summary

This study tested a program where parents and children prepare together before surgery to see if it lowers children's anxiety when they get anesthesia. Fifty children aged 5 to 12 having planned surgery took part. The program involved parents being present and prepared for the operating room experience. The goal was to make the child feel calmer during anesthesia induction.
