Summary
This study tested whether chewing gum can help people cut down on cigarettes or quit smoking. 80 smokers in Hong Kong were split into two groups: one received chewing gum and brief advice, the other only advice. The goal was to see if gum chewing led to fewer cigarettes smoked and better quit rates.
