NCT ID NCT07371546
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether wearing a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) helps adults with prediabetes improve their diet and physical activity compared to standard health coaching. 76 participants from a Singapore polyclinic will be randomly assigned to receive either a CGM plus coaching or coaching alone. The study also interviews patients and healthcare providers to understand the real-world benefits and challenges of using CGM for prediabetes.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Continuous glucose monitor (Abbott Freestyle Libre)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that CGM helps people with prediabetes make healthier choices and lower their risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study (76 participants) focused on feasibility and behavior, not on preventing diabetes. Results may not apply to larger populations.
