First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study aimed to find out how often low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) happens in older adults (over 64) with diabetes who live in long-term care facilities. Researchers used a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) worn for 10 days to track blood sugar levels in 86 participants. The goal was to better understand the problem, not to test a new treatment.
