New monitor tested to help kidney transplant patients control diabetes

NCT ID NCT07271433

Summary

This study tested whether using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) could help people with type 2 diabetes better manage their blood sugar after a kidney transplant. Twenty patients wore the monitor for three months while following their standard post-transplant care. Researchers wanted to see if better glucose control could reduce hospital readmissions and improve the health of the new kidney.
