New drug combo shows promise for Tough-to-Treat cancers
NCT ID NCT01116648
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether combining two drugs—cediranib (which cuts off a tumor's blood supply) and olaparib (which blocks cancer cell repair)—works better than olaparib alone for people with certain ovarian, fallopian tube, peritoneal, or triple-negative breast cancers that have come back. About 155 adults took part to find the safest dose and see if the combo slows cancer growth longer. The goal is better control, not a cure.
