Summary
This study tested whether adding cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to standard medication (risperidone) could reduce auditory hallucinations and inflammation in 50 people with schizophrenia. Participants either received CBT plus medication or medication alone. The goal was to see if CBT helps with distressing voices and lowers a blood marker of inflammation called NLR.
