First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This small pilot study tests a modified form of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for children with autism and mild intellectual disability who struggle with irritability, tantrums, and aggression. Up to 6 children will receive therapy sessions designed to be simpler and more visual. Researchers will use parent reports, child self-reports, and brain scans to see if the therapy reduces disruptive behaviors.
