Gut bacteria boosts immunotherapy to fight kidney cancer recurrence?
NCT ID NCT07037004
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 31, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This phase 2 trial tests whether adding a live bacteria product called CBM588 to the standard immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab can help prevent kidney cancer from coming back after surgery. About 62 adults with high-risk kidney cancer will receive either pembrolizumab alone or pembrolizumab plus CBM588. The goal is to see if changing the gut bacteria improves the immune response and reduces the chance of cancer recurrence.
