Autism trial tests CBDV for calming irritability in kids

Summary

This study tests whether a non-psychoactive cannabis compound called cannabidivarin (CBDV) can reduce irritability and repetitive behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder. About 100 children aged 5 to 18 will receive either CBDV or a placebo for several weeks. Parents and doctors will track changes in behavior using standard questionnaires.
