First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested a new type of cast made with 4D printing technology against the usual fibreglass cast for people with wrist fractures. The goal was to see if the new cast keeps the bone in place just as well while being more comfortable. About 25 adults with wrist fractures were followed for 6 months to compare healing, comfort, pain, and itching.
