Summary

This study looks at how often cardiac amyloidosis—a condition where abnormal proteins build up in the heart—occurs in people aged 80 and older who have been hospitalized for heart failure. Researchers will use bone scans to detect the condition in 637 participants. The goal is to find out how many of these older patients have undiagnosed cardiac amyloidosis, which could help improve future screening and care.
