New 'Universal' cancer therapy enters human testing
NCT ID NCT05239143
Summary
This is a first-in-human study testing a new type of cancer treatment called P-MUC1C-ALLO1 in adults with advanced solid tumors that have spread or cannot be removed by surgery. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see how well the body tolerates this 'off-the-shelf' CAR-T cell therapy, which is designed to be made from healthy donors rather than the patient's own cells. The study will also gather early signs on whether the treatment can shrink tumors in cancers like breast, ovarian, lung, and pancreatic cancer.
