Engineered immune cells take on childhood brain tumors in early trial

NCT ID NCT04510051

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new treatment for children whose brain tumors have come back or are not responding to standard care. The treatment uses the child's own immune cells, which are modified in a lab to better recognize and attack the tumor. Before receiving these cells, children get two chemotherapy drugs to help the new cells work. The main goal is to check for side effects and find a safe dose.
