Scientists test cannabis in lab to fight common autoimmune diseases
NCT ID NCT06842316
Summary
This study aims to understand how different compounds from the cannabis plant affect immune cells in a lab setting. Researchers will collect blood from 100 patients with chronic inflammatory diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. They will test various cannabis extracts on the cells to see how they influence inflammation and cell behavior, guiding future research into potential treatments.
