NCT ID NCT05641831
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether the drug canakinumab can prevent blood cancer in people with a condition called CCUS, where blood counts are low and there are genetic changes that raise cancer risk. The drug works by reducing inflammation, which may be a trigger for cancer. About 110 adults with high-risk CCUS will receive either canakinumab or a placebo, and researchers will track how many develop leukemia or related cancers over time.
