First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 28, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether sleeping at least an hour more each night for a week can improve how college students feel and handle pain. Thirty-six healthy young adults wore watches to track sleep and heart rate, and took pain tests involving pressure and cold. The goal was to see if more sleep leads to higher pain tolerance and less discomfort.
