Healthy hearts under the microscope: new study probes exercise limits

Summary

This study looks at how the heart pumps blood and uses energy in healthy adults of different ages. Researchers will measure heart pressures and blood samples at rest and during exercise. The goal is to understand normal heart function, not to test a treatment. About 80 healthy volunteers will take part at Mayo Clinic.
