Diet before surgery may cut wound problems in sarcoma patients

Summary

This study tests whether limiting calories before surgery can reduce wound complications in patients with soft tissue sarcoma of the leg who also receive radiation therapy. About 32 adults will follow a special diet or eat normally before their tumor removal surgery. Researchers will track wound healing and physical function after the operation.
