First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at whether taking 400 mg of caffeine 30 minutes before exercise helps Brazilian jiu-jitsu athletes perform better on grip strength tests. Fifteen experienced male athletes did two sessions—one with caffeine and one with a placebo—without knowing which they got. The results showed how caffeine affected their strength endurance and any side effects.
