NCT ID NCT07479875
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether taking 400 mg of caffeine (about 4 cups of coffee) 30 minutes before exercise could improve grip strength endurance in Brazilian jiu-jitsu athletes. Fifteen experienced male athletes performed grip strength tests after taking caffeine or a placebo. The results showed small improvements in some athletes, but the study was very small and more research is needed.
