Summary
This study tests whether a drug called butylphthalide can help people who have had a minor stroke recover better over the long term. About 1,200 adults aged 40-80 will take either the drug or a placebo daily for 12 months. Researchers will track survival, stroke recurrence, disability, new brain damage, and thinking skills to see if the drug improves outcomes.
