New heart procedure aims to cut AFib relapse rates in half
NCT ID NCT07281898
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding a special pacing test during heart ablation can lower the chance of atrial fibrillation coming back. About 240 adults with paroxysmal AF (short, self-stopping episodes) will be randomly assigned to standard ablation or standard ablation plus extra burns guided by the pacing test. The goal is to see if this personalized approach improves long-term success without increasing risks.
