Could an extra shot after a root canal cut pain and pill use?

Summary
This study tests whether giving patients an extra injection of a long-acting anesthetic (bupivacaine with epinephrine) right after a root canal can lower pain, improve quality of life, and reduce the need for painkillers. About 150 adults with tooth pain will be randomly assigned to get the extra shot, a placebo shot, or no extra shot. Researchers will track their pain and well-being for four days after treatment.
