NCT ID NCT06946186

First seen Jul 17, 2026 · Last updated Jul 17, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a Virtual Senior Center — an online hub offering programs and social connection — can reduce social isolation and improve quality of life in adults aged 65 and older who receive home-delivered meals. Participants are randomly assigned to get the Virtual Senior Center with a GrandPad tablet, without a tablet, or to continue with in-person meals. Researchers will track social isolation, digital participation, and daily living activities over 12 months.

What this could lead to
If successful, this approach could provide a scalable way to reduce social isolation and improve well-being among homebound older adults.
