First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested a 9-session virtual mind-body program (SMART-3RP) to see if it helps caregivers of cancer survivors feel less stressed and more resilient. It compared the program to a standard online support group. The trial enrolled 94 participants and focused on whether the program was feasible and acceptable, not on proving it works.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide an effective way to help caregivers of cancer survivors manage stress and build emotional resilience.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study focused on feasibility, not effectiveness. Results may not apply to all caregivers, and the program may not be better than standard support groups.
