Can a simple breathing aid right after birth save tiny lungs?
NCT ID NCT07162285
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving preterm babies (born before 34 weeks) a gentle breathing support called bubble CPAP in the delivery room helps them breathe better and reduces the need for a ventilator. About 52 babies will be randomly assigned to get either bubble CPAP or standard oxygen right after birth. Researchers will compare how many need a breathing machine, surfactant, or die early to see if early CPAP is better.
