Summary

This study explores whether bruxism (teeth grinding or clenching) is related to pelvic floor dysfunction in young women aged 18-30. Researchers will use questionnaires and physical exams to assess jaw function, pelvic floor symptoms, and anxiety in 100 participants. The goal is to see if these seemingly separate issues are connected, which could inform future care.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If a link is found, it could lead to better screening or treatment approaches for both conditions in young women.

What could go wrong

This is a small, observational study that only looks for a connection. It cannot prove that one condition causes the other, and results may not apply to everyone.
