Free DNA tests offered to public in major cancer prevention study

NCT ID NCT04494945

Summary

This study is testing a new approach to finding people at high risk for inherited cancers. Researchers are offering free genetic testing to the general public to see if this broad screening catches more at-risk people than the current method, which only tests those with a known family history. They will compare how well people follow recommended cancer screenings and preventive steps after learning their genetic risk.
