First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at a mobile workshop called Breizh Fabribus that uses 3D printing and laser cutting to make custom assistive devices on the spot for people with disabilities in a region of France. Researchers will track 70 people who received a device to see if it helps them do daily activities more easily after three months. They will also measure how satisfied users are with their devices.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that a mobile 3D-printing workshop is a practical way to quickly provide low-cost, personalized assistive devices that improve daily life for people with disabilities.
What could go wrong
