Could a simpler puff ease COPD breathing?
NCT ID NCT05381415
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether people with COPD get more benefit from their bronchodilator inhaler when they inhale at a higher lung volume (functional residual capacity) instead of the usual low volume (residual volume). Researchers will compare lung function tests in 30 participants after each method. If the higher-volume approach works as well or better, it could simplify the inhalation technique and improve treatment effectiveness.
