Vaccine joins fight against breast cancer in new trial

Summary
This study is testing whether adding an experimental vaccine called WOKVAC to standard pre-surgery treatment can help the immune system better fight HER2-positive breast cancer. The trial will enroll 25 adults with early-stage breast cancer to receive the vaccine along with their usual chemotherapy and targeted drug regimen. Researchers will check if the vaccine changes the immune cells in the tumor and monitor for side effects.
