Study aims to spare breast cancer patients from chemotherapy

NCT ID NCT07428018

Summary

This study is testing if some patients with a common type of early breast cancer can avoid chemotherapy before surgery. Instead, they would receive a targeted pill (abemaciclib) plus hormone therapy. The goal is to see if this gentler approach works as well for shrinking tumors, potentially allowing for less extensive surgery.
