Summary
This study aims to find the genes that cause bicuspid aortic valve (BAV), a common heart defect where the valve has two flaps instead of three. Researchers will collect blood samples from 700 people with BAV and their family members to compare their DNA. Finding the genetic causes could lead to better understanding and future treatments for this condition.
