New MRI technique could reveal invisible brain tumor edges

NCT ID NCT07532031

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether special MRI scans can spot where brain tumors have spread into nearby healthy tissue, which standard scans miss. About 20 adults with suspected high-grade glioma will get extra scans before surgery. The results will be compared to tissue samples to see if the new method accurately maps tumor infiltration. The goal is to improve future treatment planning and reduce tumor regrowth.
