Scientists peek inside anxious brains to find calm

NCT ID NCT06132659

Summary

This study aimed to understand how people with anxiety can learn to control their emotions by seeing real-time pictures of their own brain activity. Researchers used a brain scanner to give 21 participants feedback, comparing a real feedback group to a fake feedback group. The goal was to see if this 'neurofeedback' helps improve emotion regulation skills and to learn which brain areas are involved.
