First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests a home-based treatment for active-duty service members and veterans who have had a mild traumatic brain injury (concussion) and still struggle with attention or concentration. The treatment combines a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique (tDCS) with computer-based cognitive training. Researchers will compare real stimulation to a sham (placebo) version to see if it improves complex attention, memory, and quality of life, and will use brain scans and EEG to understand how the brain changes.
