Zap your cravings? brain stimulation trial aims to curb appetite

NCT ID NCT00739362

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive electrical stimulation to a specific part of the brain can help people eat less and lose weight. Overweight adults will receive either real or fake stimulation while following a reduced-calorie diet for several weeks. Researchers will measure changes in food intake, weight, and brain activity to see if the stimulation is a helpful tool for managing obesity.
