Brain pacemaker study seeks to tame uncontrollable movements

Summary

This study aims to learn more about how deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery helps control symptoms of Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, and dystonia. Researchers will observe 200 adults with these movement disorders who are having the standard DBS surgery. During the operation, they will record brain activity to understand how the treatment works and how it affects movement and thinking.
