First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a simple brain scan can detect signs of depression vulnerability in people who are not currently depressed. Researchers used a light-based imaging technique to measure brain activity in 90 adults, including those who had recovered from depression and those with a family history of the condition. The goal was to identify brain markers that might predict future depression risk.
