First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at why people with diabetes may have a higher risk of memory problems and dementia. Researchers will use brain scans and thinking tests to see if brain insulin resistance and blood vessel damage play a role. About 150 adults aged 50-80 with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, along with healthy volunteers, will take part. The goal is to better understand how diabetes affects brain health over time.
